SUNDAY UPDATE #16
This week, I am sharing the best interview on personal style I have probably seen this year (hosted by the Sheerluxe editors, of course) and what I'll be wearing for christmas.
I don’t know what it is this year but I am not in a christmas mood. And I love christmas. Instead of Love, Actually, I will be watching Black Doves tonight. And that’s okay.
I have to say I am very excited for 2025. 2024 was slow and confusing and I have a feeling 2025 has a lot of good things in store for us!
I want to use this platform more and fully embrace my love for fashion next year. I am so, so grateful for each and every one of you - we are almost 1,000 people now! Can you imagine? Do you have any wishes or questions for the next year? Comment down below!
THIS WEEK IN NUMBERS AND WORDS
FASHION CRISIS: The glittery skirt, read below.
ITEMS SOLD: 0
ITEMS BOUGHT: 3 (COS snakeskin clutch, and two ZARA faux leather and shearling jackets I might keep or return, we’ll see)
ITEMS ADDED TO WISHLIST: 2, see below.
FASHION MOOD: Excited for 2025!
FASHION THOUGHTS: Trust my fashion instincts more. My style might be simple but that’s okay and I can still have fun.
THINGS I HAVE BEEN WEARING LAST WEEK
I wore this satin skirt + oversized sweater combination to a casual birthday party last Saturday and I kind of liked it but kind of didn’t.
This was a WFH outfit on Monday, I think. It’s one of the looks I did with Allison and I loved it. It was comfy but still felt dressy enough to go outside for a lunch break.
My favorite outfit for an office day on Wednesday. I regretted the shoes because I also had plans after work and my feet didn’t like it. The outfit in total, however, was a great win for me.
WFH on Friday. Yes, I got the Mango set that Anna also has. It hasn’t had any pilling so far and i hope it will remain this way because I love it.
I added some adidas sneakers for my coffee run on Friday morning and my favorite COS coat - the barista didn’t know I was in my loungewear, I think. Note to myself: Have a spare package of coffee in the house.
This was today’s outfit to run errands. Just something I threw on and felt quite good in. I have a love-hate thing with this beanie but I like how it looks in pictures.
WHAT I WILL BE WEARING FOR CHRISTMAS
Did I buy a glittery skirt just for the occasion? I did. Was it stressful to rush into the city to get the skirt on a packed Wednesday before christmas? It was. Was it even more stressful to rush back into the city on an even more packed Saturday before christmas to get the snakeskin clutch I was eyeing for about six months? It was. Was it worth the panic? It was!
This is the perfect example of what I think my style is right now. Not a glittery skirt - just simple tailored pieces and something edgy. Enter, the bag.
It was a close, close decision between this snakeskin version and the mini leopard bag COS has in store right now but this is an absolute play piece for me and I can see me wearing the snakeskin one in summer - the leopard bag (which isn’t available online?) not so much and then also, not in winter of next year.

WISHLIST
There are two things on the wishlist rn: A pair of leopard flats from Arket, and an overpriced pair of glasses from Miu Miu.
ALL THE FASHION INSPIRATION I NEEDED
I love Sheerluxe magazine and it’s no secret I have a massive girl crush on Lu Hough, their fashion editor. Last week, they published this interview on personal style with Kay Barron and Donna Wallace and it is like a forty-five-minute long inspirational shower of ideas. Highly recommend!
FASHION MOOD IN ONE PICTURE
Have you seen YSL’s new campaign with Gwyneth Paltrow? It’s the coolest attitude that is matching my non-christmas feeling right now.
Again, thank you so much for being here!
I am taking a break until January 1, and am excited to see you back here next year! Please let me know what you liked best and didn’t like about No Wardrobe last year, what you wish to see more of next year etc.
Happy holidays, everyone! Lots of love and kindness! xx
Merry Christmas, Anika! I’ve really enjoyed, and have been inspired by, your posts this year. Black Doves is brilliant by the way!
Enjoying Black Doves too - and I mean, at least there is a Christmas theme ha 🎄
