SUNDAY UPDATE #30
This week, I styled my 9 Dollar H&M pants six ways, found some good stuff on Vinted (did someone say woven bag?) and fell in love with a new style crush - again.
We’re starting this week’s Sunday Update without an actual introduction because it’s going to be long. Please read this on the app or website because it’s too long for e-mail. Thank you so much.
THIS WEEK IN NUMBERS AND WORDS
FASHION CRISIS: 1 - I lost a pair of sunglasses. Not that I have eight (!) other pairs but I loved these so much. I hope they’ll find their way back to me somehow.
ITEMS SOLD: 0
ITEMS BOUGHT: 0 but I do have to share a few purchases from last week (see below).
ITEMS ADDED TO WISHLIST: 0, no time for browsing!
FASHION MOOD: I am back to loving my wardrobe!
FASHION THOUGHTS: ‘Wearing > styling’ is one of my fashion mantras this summer, I think. I need easy formulas, a minimum of texture and color and effortless throw-on looks.
I PROCRASTINATED BY PUTTING ON MY 9 DOLLAR PANTS THIS WEEK
Story time: My wardrobe is edited, curated, whatever you want to call it - as f*. I only have things in my wardrobe that I love and wear. Pieces get thrown out and sold when they don’t serve a purpose. Pieces that come in are chosen. That cuts out a lot of the fun other women have with their wardrobes but it also cuts out a lot of stress and overload. So it was a surprise that these 9 Dollar H&M pants were still hanging in my closet with their tag on. A sale find from seven years ago. I don’t normally own clothes with tags. Tags get pulled off, things are worn immediately because I love them when I buy them - because the decision is always made with clarity.
Tuesday after work I started procrastinating and I think my subconcsiousness wanted me to style my suede blazer with beige pants, so I did. And then it went on from there and I styled the 9 Dollar pants with

SOME GOOD VINTED FINDS
Anyone else a bit too obsessed with Vinted lately? I have sold a bunch of pieces on there and their algorithm seems to be very good. Said algorithm presented a bag I had laid my eyes on on the Who What Wear site last summer and it came in handy because I don’t have 400 Dollars to spend on a Dragon Diffusion bag right now (this was 10 Euros).
I also got this white ruffled top (it’s Zara and a great copy to the ruffled top all the Scandi girls were wearing last year). I have a few social events that are somewhat chic this summer, so the top and the bag are both a great addition. I also got an amazing vintage leather blazer (see outfits of the week).
WHAT I WORE THIS WEEK
Monday’s WFH look wasn’t worth a picture apparently but Tuesday’s office look was an oversized suit with chunky sandals to get things done. These shoes take me to the station and back (both a thirty-minute-walk, it’s my favorite part of office days).
Wednesday’s office look was a suede blazer, white shirt and beige wide leg pants, paired with not-so-comfy-sandals. However, it was my favorite of the week together with its transition to the night outfit for after-work drinks with friends.

I got a lot of stuff done on Thursday and sometimes I need an outfit that doesn’t feel like showing off and going outside on those days. Enter, the grey sweater and baggy black denim look.
Friday’s WFH look was simple but chic enough to meet two friends in my lunch break. It was one of the looks I put together in Tuesday’s procrastination hour so that’s a win.
A NEW STYLE CRUSH: ELYSE WINTER, STYLIST
I stumbled across a great Substack post on the Lands of Oaks and Roses this week and it took me to Elyse Winter’s Instagram page, where I got lost for two hours although there aren’t that many pictures. Elyse picked up the ‘wearing > styling’ theme of my week quite well so I just stared at some outfits and took mental notes.
FASHION MOOD IN ONE PICTURE
This also is leaning into the ‘less is more’ - theme that I want so bad right now.
Happy weekend, everyone!
Every single one of your outfits truly fits you to perfection. And what I should be saying is that each item you own fits you really well. I feel like I could spy your looks a mile away and that (to me) is the biggest compliment in the world!
So many amazing outfits with one pair of pants! I love this :) And secondhand finds are the best finds - really love that Zara top, it's giving boho summer vibes.
